As you consider signing up for the Pay Card, or once you have your Pay Card, you may have questions. That's why we've put together this handy resource document.
The FAQ can also help you decide in which situations you should speak with a California Credit Union representative or if you should contact LAUSD.
- What is California Credit Union's Pay Card?
CCU's Pay Card is a Visa®-branded reusable debit card created exclusively for LAUSD employees. The employee has access to their pay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at ATMs and everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
- How do I sign up for a Pay Card?
CCU's Pay Card is a Visa®-branded reusable debit card created exclusively for LAUSD employees. The employee has access to their pay 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at ATMs and everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
- Visit ccupaycard.org and click the "Enroll Today" button. Fill out and submit the form electronically.
- Get a Pay Card Enrollment Form from the LAUSD Payroll Department or a California Credit Union branch location. Fill out and return the form to the LAUSD Payroll Department or mail the form using the pre-paid envelope provided with the form.
To complete either enrollment form you will need your LAUSD Employee Identification Number, your Social Security or Tax ID number, your current mailing address, and your LAUSD email address (johndoe [at] lausd.net).

- I don't know my Employee Identification Number. How do I get it?
Contact LAUSD Personnel, Human Resources, or your Supervisor.
- How can I contact CCU's Pay Card Customer Service?
You can call California Credit Union's automated Pay Card Access System 24 hours a day at (855) 528-7372; Representatives are also available at this number Monday through Friday, 7am - 7pm and Saturday, 9am - 2pm.
To report lost, stolen or damaged cards, call (855) 528-7372 (within the U.S.) or (909) 941-1398 (outside the U.S.).
- What kind of information can I get on the automated Pay Card Access System, from a Representative, or through Online Banking?
Automated Pay Card Access System information options include:
- Check account balance and recent transactions
- Check date/amount of last deposit
- Choose to speak to a Customer Service Representative during business hours
Service Representatives can help you with the above options, plus:
- Change of name and address
- Respond to questions about transactions on your account statement
- Investigate fraudulent transactions
- Process lost/stolen/damaged cards
- Request an emergency card replacement
- Request an emergency cash transfer
- Close your account
Online Banking options include:
- Balance inquiry
- Transaction history
- View and print E-statements
- ATM locator
- When will my paycheck be deposited onto to the card?
Your paycheck will be deposited on your card on the date of your scheduled payday.
- Do I have to take my entire pay on payday?
No. You may use your Pay Card for any portion of your available balance as often as you like anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, at point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and at ATMs. Safeguard your money and take out only what cash you need.
- How can I withdraw my entire paycheck if I need it?
You can withdraw your entire paycheck:
- from a California Credit Union ATM free of charge
- from any financial institution's branch location, including any CCU branch. Cardholders can make representative-assisted withdrawals at most bank branch locations in the U.S.
You can make withdrawals from any ATM that accepts CO-OP, Plus, or Interlink cards. Non-CCU ATMs may place a limit on how much you can withdraw at a time. Also, be aware that non-CCU or non-CO-OP ATMs may charge a fee. Only CCU and CO-OP ATMs are fee-free.
- Will I get a new Pay Card every pay period?
No. Upon enrollment, you will be sent your Pay Card which is a Visa-branded reusable debit card.This means that each pay day, your entire pay will be loaded onto that same card. If you withdraw all your funds, you need to keep the card. On your next pay day, that same card will be credited with your pay again, and you will need it to access your funds.
